The situation of the Turkish hazelnut market hasn’t changed a lot from our last report, with both supply and demand being at a low pace. Since most buyers seem to be well covered, small incentives such as improved export pricing based on the exchange rate of the TLR, are not making a big difference either. In addition to the well covered positions of most buyers, the first crop estimations are not triggering buyers either as they are forecasting a huge crop to come. However, the size is an indication and a lot can happen in the month’s ahead. One night of frost, heavy winds, nutdrop etc. can have a big impact.
