| The Almond market remains interesting. Year To date shipments are significantly behind, export as well as domestic shipments. |
| Fortunately December shipment figures are good and this is giving some hope to the exporters who are maintaining prices at the same levels. The next very important indication will be first new crop indications in February when the flowers will show up on the trees. Will this look good, the Almond industry has to do something as carry-over is expected to be bigger than previous season already, due to lower shipment numbers. |
| While the Almond Board did a great job by promoting almonds and creating awareness, it is also becoming difficult for them now to generate more and increaisng interest. The geopolitical situation, combined with the global economic climate, is creating uncertainty, which is also being felt in the almond market. |
