The market for macadamias is stable and calm. No big price changes, Most crops are harvested with the biggest ‘surprise’, the Chinese crop. We are getting reports that the Chinese crop will be over 100.000 mton and with that China would be the biggest worldwide producer. In the table presented, we are still using the crop numbers of INC and not the bigger crop in China. It is quite interesting to see the yields from the various origins with Australia and South Africa having the best yields.
Crops are growing but the macadamia industry also needs to invest in marketing and creating awareness especially in a year like this where US demand is staying behind because of the economic situation and the import duties. Availability is limited and our strong recommendation remains to be covered at least until mid 2026.
