| The market for cashewnutkernels is relatively stable. The availability of RCN might be tight but good enough to fill the gap until new crop from Tanzania and later on West Africa. This is expected to arrive starting January/February to the processors in Vietnam. Most processors from Vietnam are quite well sold for the coming months where as some African processors have some nice quantities still for sale. Those quantities might be interesting for the USA market while most African countries have lower import duties into the US than Vietnam. 240 size is enough available and the gap with 320 might narrow as the Cambodian crop is growing and mostly producing bigger sized kernels. Availability of pieces is limited and demand is good so prices of pieces are relatively firm. As demand is slow but prices stable, we do not expect much room for prices to come down unless bumper crops show up which is also not expected. Our recommendation is to be covered until Q1, 2026. |
