| The Almond crop is OK but most experts are expecting a crop below 3 billion pounds (around 2.8 billion pounds) probably. Prices are stable but buyers are hoping for lower prices when more crop is coming in. Water is not an issue at the moment in most parts of the Californian state but this might become an issue in future, especially in the southern part of the state. Also the costs of water is expected to increase significantly, having a serious impact on growing almonds. |
